About Custom Clinical Data Services

Experienced perspective. Common sense. Work that fits the need.

Two decades of working with clinical teams have reinforced a simple belief: strong technical work matters most when it helps people make clear, defensible decisions.

The approach

Be proactive. Keep it practical.

I bring a hands-on, common-sense approach to clinical data and biometrics. That means understanding the scientific and operational question, explaining technical choices in plain language, and staying alert to the time and cost implications of the work.

I value straightforward collaboration, thoughtful documentation, and realistic commitments. I aim to deliver what the program needs—not to oversell a service or introduce complexity that doesn't add value.

What clients can expect

Direct communication and flexible expertise.

Clear explanations

Make technical considerations understandable to clinical operations, finance, leadership, and other stakeholders.

Practical judgment

Consider the broader program, ask whether proposed work is necessary, and identify options that are realistic for the team's stage and resources.

Flexible collaboration

Work directly with an experienced practitioner and involve additional subject-matter experts when the work calls for expertise beyond the immediate scope.

Background

Training and experience.

Trained at the University of Iowa College of Public Health, I hold an M.S. in Biostatistics. Of my 20 years of experience, 18 have been in industry, working with four small to medium-sized California-based medical device and pharmaceutical companies developing glucose sensors and medicines in CNS, oncology, and autoimmune disease. Throughout my career, I have worked from clinical database to submission package, with deep knowledge of every step along the way.
